We often share personal information when we are online. The people we share with could be our friends and family or people we don't know. We need to make smart decisions about what personal information we share online.

Our Experiment / Hot & Cold

For the past 2 weeks my friend Paige and I did a experiment. We called it Hot & Cold because it was to do with hot water and cold water. Things we need for the experiment

1. Blue and Red dye

2. 2 Jars

3. Skewer

4. Scissors

5. Dish

6. A Plastic card

First you fill up the jars, one hot and one cold. You put three drops of blue food colouring in the cold water, and then you put three drops of rose pink/red food colouring in the hot water by using the skewer. After that you put one on/in the dish and then the one that’s going on top, put the plastic card on it and quickly flip it over (water shouldn’t come out if you’ve done it right). When you’ve done that, put it on top of the other jar, and slowly slide the plastic card out. And you’re done!

So the first time you do it you have to put the cold water on top of the hot water. The we have to change it around so the hot water is on top of the cold water.

When the hot water is on top of the cold water it doesn’t mix. We think that it’s because the steam from the hot water is acting like a barrier so it doesn’t go through.

But when the cold water is on top of the hot water it mixes because there isn’t any steam barrier to stop it.

Our experiment involves Air Resistance because the steam is air. Also Geothermal energy because of the hot water and Balanced Forces because the hot and cold water are leveled. The Atua would be Ruaumoko.

Wooh! Already on the bus.

2 Hours Later

As I hopped off the bus I got my bag from at off the bus. Then I went in the hall and sat down in my activity groups then this lady, Anna explains all the rules and the boundaries.

Then we started off with our first activity which was Archery…

Aiming an arrow accurately as well as an awesome Attitude also achieving archery... or.... Aiming an arrow also an attitude, appreciating all adults and archery.

As we walked down to archery I could already see that I'm going to have fun because…

Mr Breach! is going to be watching us because he's our group leader. But the worst thing about archery was it was Raining. But after that we went inside the games room to play some indoor games.

One game was a called, Pick The Peg. The rules were for the peg game where you have to… Peg Pegs on the back of you T - Shirt and you have to crawl around and try get other peoples pegs. Make sure No one gets any off your back. Also if you get a peg you have to peg it on your sleeve. Once they are all gone off your back, members of the game have to try get all of them on your sleeve.

Also you have to be put into two teams and the teams that has the most pegs all together, Win.

My Goal For Camp

School Value is Be There - (Archery)

Whoosh! I'm already here at my first activity

My Goal is to make sure I'm at my activities on time, as fast as a cheetah.

Also that to bring the right 3 things. I have to bring a Drink Bottle, Sun Hat and Shoes - (Suitable Wear - Running Shoes). Also is to make sure I actually complete that activity.

2016 Camp

In a week we have School Camp coming up on Wednesday next week. We are going to Glentui Meadows. The teachers have been working really hard for us to go on school Camp. Some parents have taken up their time to help us with Camp.

For the past 2 weeks the teachers has given us a book let to fill out like what were looking forward to and what activity groups were in. Mrs McG has set a challenge to see whose
book let/Diary looks the best and the most detail.
