Asking a question about their time or when did you go. So something about their time not how old He/She is
Making a connection is kinda like asking  a question. Like how was it or giving information
Being careful of humour means making sure that your comment your write is helpful or your comment should motivate them to put more into it

Re-Read your comment - Making sure your have CAPITAL LETTERS and full stops and it should make sense
