Science

In science we have been learning about Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Tsunamis. Here is my research topic.

Ruaumoko is the baby god. He is the god of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and other disasteriest things. The story behind this myth is… Papatuanuku (earth-mother) and Ranginui (sky-father) had six male children.. Tanemahuta is the child that pushed papa back into the sky. The children begged their mother and father for a little more room so they could play but they were too in love to even listen. The distance between father and mother became so wide for the first time all the children were standing and stretching their arms above their head however that wasn't enough so tane pushed his father further up and at last the children could see each other and feel warmth upon their face. After tane gave one more push they could finally see the beauty of their mother. When their father started crying the children were scared that they would drown in his tears, as the mother rolled over with her face hidden from her love she curled up into a ball, she created the sea and the lakes from the tears of sky-father. Ruaumoko was so angry that he didn't like his mother being sad because obviously she got pulled away from her love. This god, Ruaumoko relates to our topic because he’s the god of Earthquakes, Tsunami’s  and the volcano eruptions. He’s the god of all disaster’s.
